ECHIZEN QUEST is a one-day tour where you can experience several of 5 traditional crafts of Echizen City (Japanese paper, lacquerware, forged blades, tansu chests, Echizen pottery) and 2 manufacturing workshops that Fukui Prefecture is proud of (eyewear, textiles).

During this tour, participants will receive Visual Coins featuring Echizen City’s “Heian-era Characters”. These Coins can be used to support the facilities you visit in the form of tips, according to the value you feel. Remaining Coins can be exchanged for souvenirs and are to be used during the tour. At the end of the tour, a special Visual Coin will be presented as a title for clearing the QUEST.

・Coin holding period: until February 2026

• Visit to Otaki Shrine – the only shrine where Papermaking Goddess is worshipped

• 【 Experience 3】 ＜Takefu Knife Village＞ Small Deba knife sharpening experience
• 18:00 Arrival at Fukui Station
